Peacefully at home, surrounded by her loving family, on Wednesday 14th May, Hilda of Shap. Beloved wife of the late Bernard, much loved mam of Trevor, Julie, Pauline and Diane, a cherished nana and great nana to her 21 grandchildren, sister to Marjorie and Ben, aunty to Pat and Joyce, and a friend to many. A Service of Thanksgiving will be held at 10.00am on Friday 23rd May at St Michael's Church, Shap, followed by interment at Shap Cemetery. Refreshments will be provided at Shap Village hall after the interment where memories of Hilda can be shared. Peacefully, at home, with her loving husband by her side, on Tuesday, 6th May, Carmen of Hackthorpe, Penrith, beloved wife and soulmate of Paul, much loved mum of Greg, Harlan and Ed, adored daughter of John and Fran, special nana of Indie, Lily and Jackson, sister of Tim and a sadly missed mother in law and daughter in law. Aged 55 years. Service and cremation at Eden Valley Crematorium on Wednesday, 21st May at 11.00am. Peacefully, at the Cumberland Infirmary, Carlisle on Tuesday, 6th May, Theo of Shap, beloved husband of Ethel, much loved dad of Simon and Diane, father-in-law of Joy and David and a sadly missed grandad of Lewis, Oliver and Emily. Aged 91 years. Service at St. Michael’s Church, Shap, followed by interment at Shap Cemetery on Tuesday, 20th May at 1.30pm. Peacefully in the presence of his loving wife at Eden Valley Hospice on Saturday 26th April 2025, Andy of Melkinthorpe, Penrith. Beloved and cherished husband and best friend of Cath and a friend to many, aged 70 years. A service to celebrate Andy's full and wonderful life will be held at Eden Valley Crematorium on Friday 16th May at 2pm. As this will be a celebration of Andy, please feel free to wear what you are comfortable in and if you can, wear something blue in memory of Andy. Aged 76 years. A service of thanksgiving and celebration of Gordon's life will be held at St Andrew's Church Penrith, on Thursday, 15th May, 2025, at 12 noon followed by a private committal at Eden Valley Crematorium.
