Brownrigg neé Jackson

Following a short illness, at Mary Hewston Hospital, Keswick, on Sunday 16th August, Beatrice Isobel (Bea) of Penrith, previously of Matterdale and Great Strickland. Aged 94 years. Beloved wife of the late Bruce Brownrigg, much loved Mum, Mother-in-law, Gran, Baba and Great Gran. At Bea’s request a direct cremation will take place.

Watson

Peacefully, at home, surrounded by the love of his family, Alan of Threlkeld. Beloved husband of Isabell, much loved Dad of Gary, Kenny, Sara, and the late Lee, loving father-in-law of Katie, Emma, Phil and Louise, cherished Grandad of Billie, Layla, Maddy, Zach and Martha, and a much-loved brother, uncle, and a friend to many. A Service of love and celebration will be held at Eden Valley Crematorium at 12.30pm on Wednesday 26th August followed by refreshments at Keswick Rugby Club. Please wear what you are comfortable in, but please no Liverpool FC attire as per Alan’s wishes. Jean,Peacefully, at home in Tirril. Beloved wife of the late Jack, a much-loved Mum to Joanne and Sara, loving Mother-In-Law of Bill and Bob, fun loving Grandma to Adam, Matthew and James, cherished Great-Grandma of Sophie, Jack, William, Dougie and Amelia, a beloved sister to the late Jim and Barbara, Auntie, and a friend to many. A Service of Thanksgiving will be held at St Michael’s Church, Barton at 11.30am on Wednesday 19th August. Family flowers only please, but donations if wished will go towards the work of Patterdale Mountain Rescue, a cause close to Jean’s heart, and St Michael’s Church, Barton. Peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, on Friday, 17th July, Nigel of Cold Springs Park Care Home, Penrith, (formerly of Armathwaite, Carlisle) beloved husband of Fiona, a wonderful father to Janet and Michael and dear brother to Chris, who will be sadly missed by all his family and friends. Aged 85 years. Service and cremation at Eden Valley Crematorium on Saturday, 15th August at 11.00 am. Bentley, neé Simpson:

Suddenly, but peacefully, at the Cumberland Infirmary, Carlisle on Wednesday, 22nd July, Ethel of Shap, beloved wife of the late Theo, much loved mam of Simon and Diane, mother-in-law of Joy and David and a sadly missed grandma of Lewis, Oliver and Emily. Aged 85 years. Service at St, Michael's Church, Shap, followed by interment at Shap Cemetery on Monday, 10th August at 2.00 pm. Peacefully, at home, on Wednesday, 22nd July, Vera of Greystoke, Penrith, loving wife of the late Geoff, dearest mum and mother-in-law of Elizabeth and Larry, a loving and kind gran of Amanda and Andrew and great-gran of Harry and Erin. Aged 95 years. Service and interment at St. Andrew's Church, Greystoke, on Thursday, 6th August at 1.30 pm.
