Crowston, née Tennyson

It is with deep sadness and heavy hearts, the family of Elaine share the news of her passing away, on Tuesday, 1st February, she was suddenly taken from us at the Cumberland Infirmary, Carlisle after becoming unexpectedly ill. A modest, strong and determined women, Elaine touched so many individuals, both in her personal and professional lives, she was much loved and forever missed. Service and cremation at Eden Valley Crematorium on Friday, 4th March at 2.00 pm. Family flowers only, but if desired, donations which will be divided between Carlisle Eden Mind and Barnardo’s may be left at the Service or sent c/o Richardsons Funeral Directors.

Winn

Michael, (former lecturer in forestry at Newton Rigg), Peacefully, but suddenly at the Cumberland Infirmary, Carlisle on Sunday, 13th February. Dearly loved husband of Pat, much loved father of Rod and Julian, loving Grandpa of Jay, Aaron, Hadley and Carli and dear brother of Terry. Aged 85years. Service on Thursday, 3rd March at St. Catherine's Church, Penrith at 1:00pm, followed by a cremation service at Eden Valley Crematorium with some music and tributes at 2.00pm. Suddenly and unexpectedly, on Thursday, 10th February, Rodney (Rod) of Calthwaite, former teacher at Queen Elizabeth Grammar School, Penrith, beloved husband of Karen, much loved father of John and Andrew, a sadly missed father-in-law, brother, uncle and a good friend to many. Aged 69 years. Service at Penrith Methodist Church on Wednesday, 2nd March at 11.00am followed by Private Committal at Eden Valley Crematorium. Peacefully, at Croft Avenue Care Home, Penrith on Wednesday, 16th February, James (Jim) formerly of Melkinthorpe and Outgang, beloved husband of the late Anne, a much loved brother, brother-in-law, uncle and good friend to many who will be sadly missed. Aged 90 years. Service and cremation at Eden Valley Crematorium on Monday, 28th February at 2.00 pm. BETTY, Peacefully at Keswick Cottage Hospital on Thursday, 3rd February. Mother to Elaine, Georgina and Peter, grandmother and great-grandmother. Formerly of Walsall, recently of Lazonby. Aged 95 years. Service and cremation at Eden Valley Crematorium at 2.00pm on Friday, 25th February. Peacefully, aged 70, at home with his loving family, on Tuesday, 1st February, Richard (Headteacher of St Catherine’s School, 1988-2007) of Chestnut Close, Culgaith, loving husband of Geraldine, much loved dad of Fliss, Lucy and Colette and a sadly missed father-in-law and grandad to his eight grandchildren. Requiem Mass at St Catherine’s Church, Penrith on Wednesday, 16th February at 12.00noon, followed by cremation at Eden Valley Crematorium.
