At the Cumberland Infirmary, Carlisle on Wednesday, 2^nd March, John of Newbiggin, Penrith, much loved husband of Pamela, father of Jack and Stella, brother of Joan, Alan and Caroline, brother-in-law of Robin, Linda, Maureen and Tim. Aged 65 years. Service and cremation at Eden Valley Crematorium on Friday, 18^th March at 12.30pm. Sadly, at the Cumberland Infirmary, Carlisle on Monday, 28^th February, John of Lazonby, Penrith, aged 87 years, dear partner of Liz Shackman. Sadly, after a short illness, at the Cumberland Infirmary, Carlisle, on Tuesday, 1^st March, Betty of Newbiggin, Stainton, Penrith (formerly of Motherby), beloved wife of the late Joe, much loved mum of Anne and Audrey, a sadly missed gran, great-gran, mother-in-law and aunt. Peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, at the Cumberland Infirmary, Carlisle, on Sunday, 20^th February, Mary of Wetheriggs Rise, Penrith, beloved wife of the late John, much loved mam of Linda and Andrew, mother-in-law of Andrew and Alison, loving nana of Luke, Ben, Natasha, Jake and Jed, nana Mary of Jack, Tom and Isabelle and a dear sister, sister-in-law and auntie. It is with deep sadness and heavy hearts, the family of Elaine share the news of her passing away, on Tuesday, 1^st February, she was suddenly taken from us at the Cumberland Infirmary, Carlisle after becoming unexpectedly ill. A modest, strong and determined women, Elaine touched so many individuals, both in her personal and professional lives, she was much loved and forever missed. Service and cremation at Eden Valley Crematorium on Friday, 4^th March at 2.00 pm. Michael, (former lecturer in forestry at Newton Rigg), Peacefully, but suddenly at the Cumberland Infirmary, Carlisle on Sunday, 13^th February. Dearly loved husband of Pat, much loved father of Rod and Julian, loving Grandpa of Jay, Aaron, Hadley and Carli and dear brother of Terry. Aged 85years. Service on Thursday, 3^rd March at St. Catherine's Church, Penrith at 1:00pm, followed by a cremation service at Eden Valley Crematorium with some music and tributes at 2.00pm.
