Canon Keith Ernest, passed away peacefully at Furness General Hospital on Tuesday, 10^th December, after a short illness, aged 91 years. Beloved widower of Audrey Doreen, dearly beloved father of David, Christopher, Andrew and Elisabeth, much-loved grandfather of Sam, Josh, Ayesha, Ben, Hal, Max and Flo and great-grandfather of Millie. Former Rector of Grasmere and Honorary Canon of Carlisle Cathedral, and latterly resident at Calgarth Park, Troutbeck Bridge, he will be fondly remembered for the love and joy he brought to his ministry in his many parishes around the country. Funeral Thanksgiving Service to be held at St Oswald’s Church, Grasmere, on Monday 6^th January, at 11.00 am, followed by interment at Grasmere Cemetery. Aged 85 years. Service at Christ Church, Penrith on Friday, 3^rd January at 11.00 am followed by interment at Penrith Cemetery.
