Peacefully, on Thursday, 3^rd April, Gordon Richard, (former council chairman and farmer of Calthwaite and Hesket Newmarket), beloved husband of Dorothy, much loved dad of Jane, Caroline and Angela, and a sadly missed father-in-law, grandad, great grandad, uncle, brother-in-law and a good friend to many. Aged 89 years. Service and cremation at Eden Valley Crematorium on Friday, 25^th April at 12.30pm. Passed away peacefully at The Cumberland Infirmary after a short illness on Wednesday 9th April, Alva of Pooley Bridge. Wife of the late Bill, much loved mum of Suzanne and Kevin, mother-in-law of Anne and Oz, dearly loved grandma of Elexis and brother of Roland, aged 91 years. Funeral service to be held at 2.00pm on Thursday 24th April at St Michael's Church Barton followed by interment in the church yard. Family flowers only please. Aged 73 years. Service at St. Peter's Church, Langwathby on Monday, 7^th April at 2.00 pm followed by interment at Langwathby Cemetery.
