Passed away, aged 96 years, on Sunday, 11th June, suddenly, but peacefully, at the Cumberland Infirmary, Carlisle, after bravely fighting a short illness of the lower respiratory system. Much loved husband of Margaret (nee Morton), father of David, Christopher, Richard and brother of David, Vera, Leslie and the late Mary and Eva, grandfather and great-grandfather.
