It is with deep sadness, and heavy hearts, that we announce the passing of Laura of Langwathby on Friday 8^th April at Appleby Grange nursing home, peacefully after a long struggle with dementia, beloved wife of the late Len, dearly loved mam of Mark, Gail and Clyde and a loving gran. Laura is much loved and will be forever missed by her family, friends and all those who knew her. Service and cremation at Eden Valley Crematorium on Friday 22^nd April at 2pm. Winifred (Winnie) of Scales Farm, passed away, peacefully, aged 90 years, surrounded by her loving family, at Cold Springs Park Care Home, Penrith, on Wednesday, 6^th April. A much loved mam of Shirley, Brenda, Kathleen, June and Richard, nana Winnie to Andrew, Julie, David, Roy, Mike, Rob and Liam and a sadly missed mother-in-law. Service and interment at St. Kentigern’s Church, Castle Sowerby on Friday, 22^nd April at 11.00am. Peacefully, at the Cumberland Infirmary, Carlisle, on Wednesday, 6^th April, Desmond (Des) of Carlton Drive, Penrith, beloved husband of Ann, much loved dad of Nigel and a sadly missed brother and uncle. Aged 81 years. Service at United Reformed Church, Penrith on Thursday, 21^st April at 12.30pm, followed by interment at Penrith Cemetery. Peacefully, at home, with her family, on Tuesday, 5^th April, Doreen of Stainton, Penrith, beloved wife of Peter, dearly loved mum of Tim and Nicola, mother-in-law of Chetna and a much loved grandma of Will and Taryn. Aged 82 years. Private cremation followed by a Service of Thanksgiving at St. Andrew's Church, Dacre, Penrith on Wednesday, 13^th April at 12.00 noon.
