Peacefully, after a long illness, at the Cumberland Infirmary, Carlisle, on Thursday, 8^th July, Joseph Edward (Ted) of Askham, Penrith, husband of the late Christine, beloved dad of Kevin, Philip and Net, father-in-law of Pam and grandad of Matthew, Bobby and Sarah. Aged 80 years. Graveside Service at Penrith Cemetery, on Thursday, 15^th July at 10.30 am. Ruth, peacefully at home in Garrigill, Alston on Monday, 21^st June, Ruth, beloved wife of the late Fred, will be greatly missed by her stepfamily and many friends. Service at St. John’s Church, Garrigill on Friday, 9^th July at 12.00noon, followed by interment at Garrigill Cemetery. Peacefully, at Royal Oldham Hospital, on Wednesday, 16^th June, Christopher Mark ‘Chris’ of Bury (formerly Penrith), best dad of Emily and Josh, son of Verna and the late David, brother of Stephen and friend to many, who will be sadly missed by all who knew him. Aged 56 years. Service and Cremation at Carlisle Crematorium on Friday, 2^nd July at 12.20 pm. Sadly, at the Cumberland Infirmary, Carlisle on Thursday, 17^th June, Harold of Clifford Road, Penrith, dearly loved husband of Elizabeth, dear brother-in-law, proud uncle of six nephews and a good friend to many. Aged 83 years. Service at Penrith Methodist Church on Thursday, 1^st July at 2.00pm followed by interment at St. James Churchyard, Temple Sowerby.
