Peacefully, at Nether Place Care Home, Keswick, on Saturday 12^th September.  Derek of Penrith, devoted husband of the late Sheila, much loved dad, grandad and great grandad.  Aged 86 years. Peacefully on Monday, 31^st August, Ian of Greystoke, Penrith, beloved husband of Christine, much loved father of Alex and Elaine and a sadly missed father-in-law, grandad, brother and uncle. Aged 75 years. Private committal at Carlisle Crematorium followed by a Service of Thanksgiving at St. Andrew’s Church, Greystoke on Thursday, 24^th September at 12.30pm. The Service will be relayed outside the church for people that wish to attend. Peacefully, at Eden Valley Hospice, Carlisle, on Monday, 14^th September, Marjorie of Stainton, Penrith, beloved mum of Iain and friend to many. Aged 82 years. Service and cremation at Carlisle Crematorium, on Wednesday, 23^rd September at 1.40 pm (Service will be relayed outside for those wishing to attend). Peacefully, at the Cumberland Infirmary, Carlisle on Friday, 11^th September, John of Eamont Bridge, Penrith, (former proprietor of Jos Sarginson Ltd) beloved husband of the late Doreen, much loved dad of Susan, uncle and friend of David. Aged 93 years. Service at Christ Church, Penrith on Tuesday, 22^nd September at 11.30am followed by interment at Penrith Cemetery. For those wishing to pay their respects, the cortege will leave Eamont Bridge at 11.15am, enroute to the funeral. Peacefully, at home, on Saturday, 12th September, William, of Smithy House, Dufton, (formerly of Ghyll House, Dufton),  beloved  husband of Nancy, dear dad of Antony, Suzanne, and John, father-in-law of Vicki, Chris and Dorne, a much loved granda of Ben, Josh, Beth, Emily and Emma, great-granda to Millie, and a friend to many.  Aged 96 years. Owing to the current situation, a family Service will be held on Monday, 21st September, at 2.30pm, at St Cuthbert’s Church, Dufton. The Service will be relayed outside, with socially distancing rules applied.  For anyone wishing to pay their respects.
