Our Staff

Joined Richardsons Funeral Directors in 2010 after a life long wish to be a Funeral Director and has been the manager of the Funeral Department since December 2014. Her previous employment was in the care of the elderly, where she achieved the position of assistant manager of a Housing with Care Scheme. Sue is married and lives in Langwathby. To date, she is the only female Funeral Director in the Eden Valley. 

Has been employed in the firm as a part time bearer / driver since 1998. He was previously employed as a British Telecom Manager. He is married and lives in Penrith.

On leaving school in 1960 he started an apprenticeship with John Richardson and Son as a joiner. He left in 1986 to work for the Local Authority until retirement in 2010 when he then became a part time bearer for the firm. He is married and lives in Penrith.

Has been employed in the firm as a part time bearer / driver since 2016.  Ian has previously been a self employed maintenance man  / gardner.  He is married and lives in Stainton.

Joe joined Richardsons as a part time bearer/driver in 2024. He was previously employed in farm management for 35 years. He lives in Penrith with his wife and pet dog.
